Our vision is to create quality clothing originating from a story whose heritage is as powerful today as the day it was written.
In 1865 at the close of the Civil War, a group of former slaves chose to take possession of a small parcel of land occupied by Union Troops in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. Refusing the OPTION to go back into slavery, they decided to make the best out of the swamp land they acquired. Today, we know this town as Princeville, the first town chartered by former African American slaves in the US.
